The Shotokan Karate Gi White Label
Experienced and regularly engaged in tough battles. That’s the description for the level that fits the White Label Karate Gis. Extra attention has been paid to stronger stitching and 12 oz medium stiff cotton provides strength and a comfortable fit. Only 100% high-quality cotton keeps you cool and dry, so in Ichiban MAE’s Dogis you won’t find synthetic materials like in cheap karate uniforms. The 10 oz pants offer unrestricted movement and have a traditional lace fastening at the hips. Smaller sizes (up to 150 cm) have an elastic waist with drawstring closure at the front (available on request). A belt is not included (optional).

Material and color
The karate suit is made of 100% cotton. Our Shotokan Gis are produced in white (bleached cotton) as standard. At Ichiban you have the option to have the suit made in a custom color. For a color of your choice, select ‘Custom’ in the menu. Our designers will contact you to discuss your color wishes.

Embroidery
There is no kanji embroidery on the suit. Upon request, we can provide the Shotokan Gi with a kanji or logo of your choice. Feel free to contact us for more information.

Sleeves
Our Shotokan karate suits come standard with a long sleeve. For specific wishes, please contact us.

Need to know
Ichiban MAE karate suits are, according to Japanese principles, made of 100% cotton. A characteristic of cotton is shrinkage during the first few washes. Please take this into account when purchasing a karate Gi. An unwashed karate Gi is larger but will fit perfectly after washing. Also, folding sleeves and pant legs is not uncommon in martial arts.
